UCBM (you could be me) tests viewer adaptation to simulated intimacy and artificial empathy.  The video projection is activated by a viewer entering the space.

When the "scientist" first appears, she is hidden behind a mask of fractal imaging; when she wants answers to a set of questions posed to the viewer she appears and speaks directly to them. She turns to the viewer: "now, what can I find out about you? I want to know about your fitness, your empathy factor, your willingness to get involved."

Then her questions: "do you feel exposed? answer yes or no please." After she gets input, she gives feedback to the viewer and offers an interpretation of how the viewer responded in the situation.
